Traction Control
The resonant frequency of the TC and the Jaydee drive line is 12Hz, so the power is being adjusted 12 times/second. The TC took 8 months to develop for the car. A lot of the calculations are done in the Motec dash which measures the vehicle speed, yaw, gear, laterial g, vertical g, etc. We have a series of 3D lookup tables calculating a variable wheel slip %. This way the car "feels" like you are just driving a normal car without TC. As a driver I cannot tell its their. If you want to, you can induce oversteer in mid corner with the throttle, its just that the TC will limit the amount so the car is safe and easy to drive. If the car is starting to slide, the drivers natural reaction is to ease off the throttle, so you never know that the TC has capped the power below, at and beyond your throttle setting.
